CaF2 crystal is high in hardness and strong in resistance to mechanical shock and thermal shock, which has excellent transmittance at ultraviolet, visible and infrared wavelength band. It is widely used in such technical domains as laser, infrared optics, ultraviolent optics, high energy ***ector, etc. It is a known optical crystal at ultraviolet ending wavelength band, whose optical performance is especially good at ultraviolent wavelength band. With high transmittance and little fluorescent radiation, it is the ideal material for UV-light ***ectors, ultraviolent lasers and ultraviolet optical system. Unlike CaF2, MgF2 is a kind of birefringent crystal.
